Install the Revit add-in
The Revit add-in ships inside the Rook Lateral installer. You do not download it separately.
Requirements
- Revit 2027 on the same Windows machine as Rook Lateral
- Rook Lateral signed in
The current add-in targets Revit 2027 only.
Install
- Open Rook Lateral and sign in.
- Go to Revit → Install add-in.
- Restart Revit if it was already open.
Rook copies the add-in assembly to %APPDATA%\Rook\Revit\2027\ and writes the manifest to %APPDATA%\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\2027\.
If the menu shows Reinstall add-in, the add-in is already installed for Revit 2027. Use that after a Revit update or if the ribbon is missing.
Verify
Open Revit 2027. Confirm a Rook Lateral tab appears on the ribbon. If it is missing, reinstall from Revit → Install add-in and restart Revit.
Receive from Revit
In Rook Lateral, keep Revit → Receive from Revit checked when you want live sends from Revit. Turning it off only pauses this desktop's subscription; queued sends are still delivered when you turn it back on.
