Read wind pressures and zones
Wind results appear on the same Setup tab as the inputs. There is no separate Wind results screen.
Collected wind forces (ASD)
Two blocks drive shear wall loading:
- Short-direction wind — Max(Case 1, 2) → short walls
- Long-direction wind — Max(Case 3, 4) → long walls
Columns show Level, Elev., Ctrl. Pressure, Trib. H, and Force (plf). These collected forces are applied automatically to shear wall calculations.
Wall pressures
Each Case 1–4 table lists Level, Elev., W, L, LRFD, and ASD. Optional Top of Truss and Eaves rows appear when applicable.
Values shown in red mean the ASCE §27.1.5 wall minimum (16 psf net) governs.
Roof pressures
Vertical (uplift) pressures are shown by zone (A–D for flat/parallel-to-ridge layouts, or A/B for pitched roofs), with LRFD and ASD. Pitched roofs also show horizontal thrust and gable-end resultants. Red marks when the 8 psf minimum governs.
C&C pressures
The C&C table follows ASCE 7-22 §30.3 (net LRFD / ASD), including qh, zone width a, roof zones, and wall Zones 4 and 5. Red marks when the ±16 psf C&C minimum governs.
C&C results are informational on Setup. Shear walls use the MWFRS collected forces.
