Install Rook

Install Rook

Rook runs on Windows only. You do not need administrator rights to install.

Before you install

If you are upgrading from Rook 1.3 or earlier, uninstall the old version first. Open Settings → Apps, find Rook, and remove it. Then install the current release.

Install steps

  1. Sign in to your account on the Rook website.
  2. Open the Portal, click Download for Windows, and save the installer.
  3. Run the installer and follow the prompts. Accept the default install location unless your IT team specifies otherwise.
  4. Launch Rook from the Start menu or desktop shortcut.
  5. Click Sign in in Rook and complete sign-in in your browser.

Troubleshooting

  • Installer won't run: Confirm you downloaded the .exe from your account page, not a cached older file.
  • Old version still opens: Uninstall Rook 1.3 or earlier, then reinstall.
